Filipino fans’ wish: JYJ concert in Manila
MANILA, Philippines — K-pop trio JYJ, composed of Xiah Junsu, Micky Yoochun and Kim Jaejoong, kicked off their JYJ World Tour Concert 2011 in Bangkok, Thailand on April 2 and 3, drawing an estimated 22,000 fans.
During the concert, JYJ sang cuts from their “Music Essay” album including “IDS,” “Nine” and “Mission.”
They also sang for the first time four new songs: “You’re,” “Get Out,” “Boy’s Letter” and “In Heaven.”
Fans who watched the concert were in awe.
“Thank you to JYJ and all the crew who made a wonderful time for my friend and I at this concert.” Thai fan Orathip Nirutikulchai posted on the official Facebook page of the JYJ World Tour.
The next leg in the tour will be Taipei, Taiwan on April 23, followed by Beijing, China on May 7. They will also hold the World Tour in the US and then wrap it up in South Korea on June 11 and 12.
Filipino fans are hopeful that C-JeS Entertainment, JYJ’s agency, will include the Philippines as one of the stops in the concert.
Cassiopeia Philippines, the fan club of JYJ and TVXQ in the country, launched a new petition on Facebook.
“A lot of KPOP artists have been here in the Philippines except JYJ. JYJ Filipino fans are so eager to see them perform here. Fan pages in Twitter and Facebook were created to show our support to them. A petition was even made for us to be included as one of the stops for their World Tour 2011,” the fans told Bulletin Entertainment.
They added, “Our yearning to see them perform right in front of our very own eyes has been our dream for many years. Thank you so much and may you continue to give Pinoy fans KPOP news especially about JYJ.”
“I want JYJ in the Philippines so bad!” posted Pinoy fan Aniah Paner on the Facebook petition page.
Cecile Camacho said, “I hope this happens! I’ll definitely do everything to attend.”
